The National Association of Black Citizens Action
Black Action Media
Mission Statement
Is a human / civil rights / media / watch-dog group made up of (Grass-roots) people who are committed toward the betterment of African Americans and poor people through education, political and social change by providing the masses with information to enlighten them. To seek justice through the sharing of information, the grassroots organizing of citizens action groups , the dissemination of information through local and national media, the establishment of our own media outlets.
Why We Exist?
Hundreds of years have passed since our ancestors had arrived here through slavery and other forced movements. People of African descent has suffered over this whole time line through every conceivable injustice that can ever effect a human being on this planet. We of N.A.B.C.A. feel that this, the lack of information to drive the Black mind to come together for effective change is the first and foremost problem that exist in the Black struggle for self empowerment. We hope to spread the seed of knowledge through information sharing with like minded groups that cut across different ideology within groups that seek progressive change. Hopefully in this new century we all can come to the table and really change things for all.
Objectives
Some of our objectives:
1. To establish realistic & progressive media networks with the greater Black community.
2. To ensure that we are armed with the legal knowledge to defend ourselves against those who try to oppress and try to take our human rights away.
3. To educate, inform and meet head on in the media those issues that affect us greatly.
4. To promote and support Black media outlets that seek progressive change.
